Acupuncture and Cosmetic Acupuncture
Acupuncture focuses on prevention and treatment of illnesses in the body as well as on its surface. By insertion of fine needles and stimulation of acu-points found on the specific areas on the entire body, the treatment brings back the natural physiological balance.
Rooted in Chinese Medicine theory on human as the microscopic reflection of the Universe, Acupuncture influences the qi (energy) in the whole body, improving the blood circulation, working on the nervous system, clearing blockages and emotional imbalances.
Whether you are suffering from chronic or acute illness, Acupuncture aims to support your constitution, improve endocrine functions and release pain.
As a natural balancer, Acupuncture gains more and more popularity in successful treatment of menstrual disorders as well as infertility.
Holistic Facial Acupuncture (Me Rong Zhen) is a Chinese Medical technique that strongly focuses on the improvement of your skin’s performance. This ancient cosmetic treatment, known to be exclusive to the Empress status of China between 475–221 BC influences the epidermis texture by reawakening it to:
• increase local circulation of blood and lymph around the face
• reduce signs of stress and emotional imbalance
• lift and improve elasticity of skin and muscle tone
• eliminate fine lines; brighten up deep wrinkles
• help decrease redness, discolouration or puffiness
• produce more collagen
As Chinese believed that the eyes were the mirrors of the soul, this extraordinary facial treatment enhances the eye gaze by stimulating the brightness and shininess within.
Each session gradually increases skin’s natural repairing process therefore a course of minimum three treatments is recommended for gradual and sustainable results that affect the whole body.
“Absolutely Five Star Acupuncture at Purple Turtle…
Gosia Jurek is an excellent therapist who put me immediately at ease – I was new to acupuncture and a little scared of needles so being made to feel relaxed was important.
From start to finish Gosia was very professional and expert in her treatment. Honestly I felt nothing from the needles except a sense of warmth and release. And the next day I continued to feel brighter and lighter than I had when I arrived at Purple Turtle for my session….perfect.
I look forward to returning soon – the whole experience was excellent; thank you” – Richard Long
